Experienced Cybersecurity Professional with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and a range of industry-recognized certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Project+, and the ISC² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP). Currently, I am working as a Cloud Support Engineer I (Networking) at Amazon Web Services, providing advanced troubleshooting techniques and tailored solutions for AWS customers primarily focused on networking services. Prior to this, I worked as a Datacenter Analyst/Network Engineer at GCS Technologies, where I provided tier 3 support for a vast variety of businesses and advised on the most efficient way to meet their business objectives while minimizing risks of security incidents. Previously, I worked at Innovative Computing Systems as a Senior Systems Engineer responsible for providing advanced tier 2 and 3 support for law firms primarily, training other system engineers, and acting as an escalation point for critical issues. Before that, I worked as a Systems Engineer at the same company. I started my career as a Lead System Administrator at W3IT, where I maintained systems for several companies and managed a team of interns. I also worked as a Computer Support Technician at Hospice Brazos Valley, where I provided technical support for desktops, field devices, and company phones, and managed inventory, repairs, and upgrades. I have extensive experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPNs. My understanding of Information Systems security, cryptography, and access control mechanisms allows me to design and implement robust and secure systems. Overall, my technical expertise combined with my passion for information security and technology leads me to continual learning and improvement.
