About Donna Ager

Donna is a partner in Walkers' Global Asset Finance team, practicing Irish law from the firm's Tier One ranked London office, specialising in aviation finance. Having worked for more than 20 years in aviation finance, a love affair which began with a short term secondment from Freshfields to Airbus, Donna has extensive industry and structuring knowledge in the aviation sphere. Donna represents manufacturers, lessors, investors, financial institutions as well as airlines on a variety of transactions including debt financings, portfolios sales and acquisitions, aircraft ABSs, EETCs and CLOs, in addition to advising on the establishment of tax efficient leasing platforms and whole business disposal and acquisitions. In 2021 Donna was recognised for her commitment and professional prowess with the Legal Adviser of the Year Award from Women in Finance and her industry focus also resulted in successfully securing the Women in Business Aviation Lawyer of the Year award. Immediately prior to joining Walkers, Donna practised Irish law with another firm for over eight years and before that she was a partner at Simmons & Simmons in London, this followed almost nine years with Clifford Chance where Donna worked alongside leading figures in the aviation legal sector on ground breaking and market leading transactions.
