In my younger days I performed various types of safety services. Such as, tank gauging under supplied air, high angle confine space rescue, safety equipment technician, well site safety supervisor & rescue, safety equipment sales. I mostly teach safety now and love it. Based off of what I have learned working in the oil & gas industry for over the past 23 plus years. I find this so rewording teaching new employees, or ones that have been in the field for years. There is nothing like it, when you have that person who has been there, done that tell you they never thought of it that way, or they learn something new. Or when you run into a past student, and they tell you. I saved a coworker or child because of what you taught me. Safety needs to become second nature, a way of life. It gets in to your blood. I know a lot of safety people who say the same thing "That they find themselves checking the fire extinguisher's at the store" now that is hard core.
