About Donna Bohn

I am passionate about helping people learn and grow in their talents, and am a life-long learner. Utilizing skills and knowledge developed through over fifteen years of increasingly diverse experiences with college students through senior administration, I lead and engage in active listening and storytelling with a focus on performance management, employee engagement, organizational development and program management. Active as a hiring manager, my human resources roles include talent management, interviewing, onboarding, employee training and development. Goal setting, utilization of assessment tools such as DiSC and CliftonStrengths, and 360-degree assessments resulted in effective professional relationships, leadership development and ongoing growth. Highly skilled at attention to details, I am also adept at seeing the long view, strategically and collaboratively working through projects, assessing situations, adjusting, and moving forward to completion. I focus on growth and development through ongoing strategic planning and assessment, evidenced by increasingly larger roles involving process improvement, project management, and elected offices in the National Association of Schools of Music specialized accrediting body. I am committed to high standards and the pursuit of balance when addressing complex issues. Creative problem solving and thinking outside the box are natural avenues of my leadership style. I am a dynamic educator utilizing a variety of teaching methodologies, committed to curricular development, instructional design, integration of technology via in person and remote learning, resulting in strong student evaluations of teaching. Experienced in adult learning workshops and presentations. Experience includes increasingly larger administrative roles at four higher education institutions, service as a working board member to music organizations, leadership roles in numerous professional music organizations, consulting for accreditation, and work as a freelance percussionist/timpanist.
