About Donna Briffa

A skilled professional with a wealth of knowledge, and experience in Diversity and Inclusion. Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate and build robust relationships with stakeholders with the ability to lead teams to support across diverse and varied geographical locations. Currently holding a leadership position with the Victorian Inclusion Agency, leading a team of Inclusion Professionals under the Australian Government to deliver the Inclusion Support Program to address access and participation barriers. Providing tailored advice and support which includes techniques for improvement and solutions to address barriers whilst mentoring and building the capacity of professionals to reflect on barriers that supports inclusion and successful outcomes for their broader teams. I respectfully consider and acknowledge Aboriginal elders in day to day practices, recognising their unique place in Australia’s past, present and future and embrace that recognition in those I have an opportunity to work with. I strive to utilise my skills to support the design, funding, regulation, and delivery of services that aim towards continuous improvement, diversity and innovative learning, alongside carefully considered strategic planning. I am proud to be acknowledged by local council as an Alumni member for outstanding Community Leadership and recognised for an Australia Day Award for contribution in the Early Childhood Education and Care profession. I have successfully managed and worked on multiple state and federal government contracts, state funded Kindergarten Intensive Support Program (KISP) and worked as a Leadership and Learning Consultant under the IPSP - Professional Support Coordinator contract. I have mentored and consulted Victorian statewide teams at various senior and ground levels and I have always worked hard to consistently support equitably and in particular those who strive to deliver initiatives and outcomes that are inclusive. In all roles that I have held it has seen me having a strong combination of managing and leading as well as achieving successes to support key deliverables. ‘I strongly believe that leaders are only as good as their teams and teams are only as good as their leader/s.’
