About Donna Cain

I joined the IT industry in 1984, supporting mainframe operating systems for 12 years; then moved into program and project management, where I have enjoyed leading teams to collect and document business requirements, design, develop and implement business solutions, and operate/maintain production applications across industries and businesses: state revenue (1 years); state health and human services (13 years); state motor vehicles (6 years); federal IRS (1 year); and federal Defense Management (6 years). As a PMO Lead, I provide excellent service to large project teams, leadership, and our clients. I have experience writing and responding to RFPs, working with contract managers to clarify and negotiate contract terms, and delivering work per the statement of work or work order. PMO activities include on/offboarding staff, equipment tracking, roster and organization chart management, security clearance, system access requests and tracking, training compliance, team performance management, project budget/financials (including subcontractor PRs and invoices), on-time quality deliverables through client acceptance, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical procedures, self-service knowledge articles, travel management, risk management, change management, service level agreements (SLAs), and design/develop customized SharePoint tools to manage the PMO processes. I enjoy mentoring and coaching team members. I assist with interviews and both in-person and virtual onboarding classes. I am a PMI Authorized Training Partner, and work with a team of facilitators to help others obtain their PMP certifications.
