About Donna Cauley

With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, I am a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to improve the quality and equity of teaching and learning for all students. As the Associate Director of Student Services at Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, I design, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions and supports that enhance the academic achievement and social/emotional competencies of diverse learners. I also serve as the Principal of Monument School, where I oversee the day-to-day operations of a dynamic and inclusive school community. I advance the state-defined leadership standards of vision, mission, and goals, collaborating with families and stakeholders, managing organizational systems and safety, and responding to and influencing the political and cultural contexts of educational systems. I have successfully implemented teacher evaluation frameworks, after-school programs, and partnerships that foster student growth and empowerment. I mentor new principals and serve on the Professional Learning and Support Committee of the Vermont Principals' Association. My mission is to transform education systems with vision and collaboration and to support the professional development and well-being of educators and students.
