About Donna Harper
The first fifteen years of my career were spent primarily in Maternal Child nursing, in hospitals and in public health. Since 1989 I have held teaching positions at various colleges of nursing, and in 1998 was fortunate to begin being a nursing supervisor at a local health department. Since 2004, I have worked at Summa Health Systems in Akron, OH, educating staff about their jobs, and helping to make many hospital tasks safer and more precisely done (translation- I write a lot of policies and procedures). I continue to be involved in nursing education, assisting RNs to get their bachelors degrees, and I learn more every day about nursing. It is truly one of the most rewarding professions available.
