About Donna Jones

I love teaching and learning whether online or in person. Most of my course work throughout the years have focused on education, leadership, and curriculum. My goal has always been to impact student learning. Now I find through my college experiences I can train teachers how to be more effective in the classroom, and through my college course writing, I can incorporate research substantiating best practices. Teaching at middle school enables me to try the research I read and write about and see if it really works. Whether teaching a 7th grader or a graduate student, or writing a course to help the teacher to teach the elementary student literacy concepts, the teaching and learning cycle is carried out throughout my experiences. Online learning has enabled my teaching to broaden from locally to globally. Years ago, one of my professors asked us to write our mission statement, and it is still the same today. “I believe that God has placed students in my care for moments in time, and it is my responsibility to teach them with knowledge and wisdom wrapped in compassion.”
