2015 - Director at Glaas Inc. Glaas Inc. working with Melbourne Polytechnic to establish the Australian Centre for Glass Design, dedicated to the development of glass through promotion, research, education, training and creative collaboration. The Centre provides resources and direction in three distinct areas: Architectural/commercial/heritage Creative / Visual Arts including studio glass Training, Employment and Social Enterprise Serving the interests of: • glass artists and designers • the glass, architectural, design, visual arts and construction sectors • conserving the rich heritage of architectural glass in Australia • building the sector while aligning with Social Enterprise principles. The Centre creates unique collaborative and consultative opportunities for industry, artists and others to lead Australian glass practitioners to match current world best practice in glass, and beyond into the future; with a view to developing the huge potential of glass to be utilised more fully in the spaces we inhabit. Currently also:*Executive Director The Glass Group, NFP organisation mentoring and promoting emerging architectural glass designers and artists. Formerly Executive Director Architectural Glass Design Australia Inc, the peak professional body for architectural glass artists, designers and practitioners. Founding member of AGDA 2002, ED since 2009. Committed to raising public profile of glass as a contemporary architectural element.
