Senior Executive with extensive experience in Leadership, skilled collaborator experience working with differing political levels, able to influence complex decisions that impact large stakeholder bases. Overseeing an extensive portfolio anchored in the highest standard of service delivery and quality assurance in multiple Canadian Provincial Health Care Insurance Plans, Supplementary benefit programs, Vital Statistics, Income support programs, the Federal Non-Insured Health Benefits Programs and the interprovincial Health Insurance agreements. Leader of large scale transformations including strategic change initiatives to interprovincial health agreements, developing and implementing strategies to improve and sustain the Canadian Health Care system and business services at a Federal/Provincial level. Served as Registrar General of Vital Statistics, Mental Health Delegate for the NWT, Minister’s Delegate for Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan and Acting Assistant Deputy Minister. Leadership in supporting policy, legislative and regulatory initiatives that influence system level change and promote an effective interprovincial health care system by applying a systems approach, and actively consulting with communities and stakeholders. A combination of private and public sector experience has resulted in a strong foundation for understanding regulatory environments and how the public sector can work effectively with government to achieve better outcomes. By enhancing key relationships, developing strategic initiatives and coordinating policy issues, we have built a strong foundation within Alberta Health with a sharper focus on the client, a shift to innovative practice, in line with the mission to achieve a sustainable and accountable health system and promote and protect the health of Albertans.
