About Donna Mast

My path in clinical research has been shaped by curiosity, problem-solving, and a commitment to doing things the right way. I spent over 8 years as an unblinded pharmacy research coordinator, where I specialized in investigational product (IP) accountability, sterile compounding, and regulatory compliance. At Renstar Medical Research, I brought my subject matter expertise to the pharmacy team — teaching best practices, mentoring new staff, and even helping design and build out their cleanroom to meet study and compliance needs.Those experiences gave me a strong foundation in both the science and the people side of research — from ensuring every vial and label was documented correctly to helping colleagues gain confidence in complex compounding procedures.Today, I’ve transitioned into a Clinical Monitor (CRA) role at the Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI – USC Keck School of Medicine). In this new chapter, I’m excited to expand my focus from site-level operations to monitoring, compliance, and supporting research that directly impacts patients and their families. What drives me is the opportunity to combine my technical background with collaboration and oversight, ensuring trials are conducted with integrity, precision, and compassion.
