About Donna-Neisha Steele

I have been in Special Education for approximately 19 years and have worked at all levels, both locally and internationally. I have experience in teaching, consulting, testing, assessment, mentoring, textbook review, curriculum and program development, and teacher training. I enjoy volunteering and doing research studies. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I am the founder of Special Education JA, formerly Special Education in Jamaica. This brand seeks to inculcate, advocate and educate the masses about everything and anything associated with special education and the student with special needs. My goal as a Special Educator has always been to bring awareness and advocate for those requiring special education services while providing remediation, assessment, evaluation, and consultative service. I am a former co-host of the “Pep Talk" podcast where my sister (co-host) and I discussed the struggles faced by young professionals in the world of work and finances in Jamaica. The podcast aimed to provide a platform to help young professionals navigate their careers and personal life by sharing and suggesting valuable tips to benefit them. I also enjoy speaking engagements, conducting and hosting workshops, webinars and conferences for students, teachers, parents, and other education stakeholders.
