Donna Tran, MD, MPH is a PGY-2 psychiatry resident at Stanford Health Care. She earned her MD and MPH at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, respectively. She received her Postbac Certificate from CSU East Bay and B.S. Neurobiology, B.A. Psychology from UC Davis. Previously, she interned with the US Senate HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor and Pensions) and US Representative Jimmy Panetta (CA-19). She was given the U.S. Public Health Service 2023 Excellence in Public Health Award and awarded memberships to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AOA), Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS), and Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. Extracurricularly, she is a CIR SEIU Stanford Department Representative, Resident Representative of the Association for College Psychiatry (AFCP), and Past National President of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA). During medical school, Donna participated in the American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation Leadership Development Institute, American Psychiatric Association (APA) Minority Medical Student Mentorship, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Leadership Seminar (RISE), Medical Student Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) Program. For research, she focuses on AANHPI and women's health, public mental health, academia, leadership, primary/geriatric care. Donna enjoys bouldering and her French bulldog.
