Chief Nursing Informatics Officer at UCLA Health, passionate about advancing nursing practice through digital transformation, innovation, and strategic leadership. With over 25 years of experience across emergency nursing, health IT, and executive informatics, I bring a system-level perspective to designing technologies that empower clinicians, improve outcomes, and elevate care delivery. As a board-certified Nurse Informaticist (NI-BC) and Nurse Executive (NEA-BC), I lead system initiatives focused on clinical optimization, workflow redesign, predictive analytics, and informatics-enabled safety tools. My leadership ensures that digital solutions support—not disrupt—care at the bedside and help reduce the cognitive burden on frontline staff. I am currently completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. The DNP is the terminal degree for nursing practice, focused on translating evidence into system-level change. Through this program, I’ve expanded my leadership in health systems innovation, quality improvement, and interprofessional collaboration.
