About Donna Wilson

I am currently the Operational Manager for the 0-19 services in Knowsley, where I provide strategic leadership and guidance for Child Health Services. I previously worked as a Team Manager for the 0-19 service, leading and managing Health Visitors and School Nurses delivering the healthy child programme. As a Service we pride ourselves on partnership working, ensuring we work together for the benefit of our communities. I am proficient in systems leadership and have been fruitful over the years with this approach producing new ways of working and new innovations within the community setting. During my time I have also had the privilege of being a 'Quality Lead' within the service, meeting CQC standards and driving up quality, I also took the lead in completing gap analysis for NICE guidance and implementing best practice into local guidance. I am a Visionary and can always see the end result through solution focused change. I have continued to work as a District Nurse in my 'spare time'. I feel this gives me the perfect opportunity to keep what I do, very grounded and it is a pleasure to continue to use my nursing skills for the benefit of others. I am a qualified practice teacher and I utilise my knowledge and skills to motivate not only the workforce in Knowsley but outside my own organisation and with personal friends - I have reaped the benefits over the years of watching staff and friends grow and flourish in their careers and personal lives. I am totally and utterly devoted to the NHS!
