Started in 1996 in shipping & Logistics operations, CnF, chartering, agency, TBL, OHSA, compliance, reefer shipment vessels, reefer container control, unit stock management, rail & port liaison in S.Africa as a senior or national manager. This included setting up supply chain efficiencies iro perishable products in Uk & E. Europe. In Ireland - Kestrel & Quality freight. As a forwarder, then supervising the customs department also & now involved in the trailer & container depot. History - Span-Global, Spanfreight(Mainport/Diamond shipping concurrently), Dole SA, Capereefers, Go Reefers, Olam, CMA CGM & DS Services (trading). In Ireland; I have worked with with Kestrel Liner agencies and am currently employed by Quality Freight as an operator, customs supervisor. I bring an experienced logistic/operations/risk view from ground level, with senior management experience (senior throughout my S.Afr career but still will work within all levels for better understanding) budgets, staff progression, agency & company restructuring. I have managed S.Afr logistics & operations from agency, to shipper, importer, vessel charterer & operator, to trading container units. Efficiencies were increased by metrics & various industry improvements were achieved in collaboration with other stakeholders. This included appointment of service providers & the applicable SLA's to reduce costs with the supply & logistics chain. Teams from 3 - 80+ depending on environment in the roles described before.
