About Dora Campos

As a literacy specialist assistant and para-pro, I have developed a passion for helping students improve their reading skills to reach their educational goals. Currently working at Lincoln Elementary School, I guide and assess K-5th grade students on their fluency skills, letters, sounds, and knowledge of vowels. Additionally, I provide one-on-one support to students to help them achieve cognitive milestones, including language acquisition. During my time as a remote educator at Wenatchee School District, I collaborated with other educators and provided technical support to students and families navigating online learning tools. I also delivered homework packets to students without internet access and created a learning space using Canvas. My skills in technical support, relationship building, cross-collaboration, interpersonal communication, networking, and time management proved vital in helping students succeed in an online learning environment. Previously, I worked as a kindergarten/first-grade para-educator at St. Joseph's Catholic School, where I prepped homework assignments, taught K/1 Spanish, assisted with in-class assignments, developed engaging lesson plans, and supported after-school events for parents and families. My technical skills include data entry, bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, moderating students' posts/messages, community liaison, and e-commerce. I am proficient in tools and software such as Zoom, Google Sheets/drive, Canvas, Adobe, and Cisco Webex. I hold an Associate's Degree from Wenatchee Valley College and am currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University.
