About Dora McKenzie

Prior to my career in education, I worked in the business sector for five years as a Marketing Representative for Halo Distributing and Communications PR Manager at Leon Springs Gas Company. I have 21 years of campus leadership experience as an Academic Dean of Instruction with a total of 30 years in education. My master’s degree in Educational Leadership and bachelor’s degree in English are both from UTSA. As an academic supervisor, I have the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels. My organizational skills have allowed me to prioritize schedules and consistently complete projects within challenging time and budget guidelines. I model strong customer service, organizational, communication, solid interpersonal skills and understand technology/information systems. I enjoy and am successful at planning and executing successful events for organizations and campus events. My professional experiences have allowed me to develop exceptional skills in thinking on my feet, community outreach opportunities, and public relations in education. I continuously work with businesses and community members in my current position to help support my campus, teachers and students to be successful. I am interested in growing my professional experiences by net-working to support a business organization.
