About Dora Petre

I've been in the IT support field for most of my working years and I managed to evolve and learn even if I had no prior IT experience or technical studies. I have always loved my field of expertise, foreign languages, but when I landed in the IT world everything felt like a challenge and an opportunity since it is the path of the future. I am eager to learn new technologies and I bring along my experience in the people area. I have learnt how to better communicate with both users and third parties, to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and to focus on solutions instead of the problem itself. One of my best assets has always been my knowledge of foreign languages, English and French. Also, having had various roles and having worked with all categories of people (end users, business representatives, other IT professionals) has helped me see things from different perspectives and understand what an IT professional should bring to the table: expertise, adaptability, diplomacy and focus on the solution.
