Portuguese, Scandinavian genes and temper, but engaged with the world. Media innovation obsessed. Passionate about journalism contemporary challenges, cultural and creative industries. Focused on university teaching, research and the development of innovative digital storytelling projects. I have a PhD in Digital Media (UT Austin Portugal CoLab) with the thesis "Cultural Journalism in a Digital Environment: New Models, Practices and Possibilities", a Master's Degree in Contemporary Culture and New Technologies, and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences (Journalism). My professional skills, built in the last 20 years, include: writing, editing, reporting and scriptwriting, mainly in culture, healthcare and trends areas; digital media projects conceptualization and management; coverage planning and content strategy for all platforms, including transmedia and crossmedia; researching, teaching, courses planning and public speaking. I have worked for digital newsrooms, newspapers, magazines, audiovisual production studios, creative content agencies, and cultural ONG. I still occasionally write for the press. I was selected, among more than 250 applicants, one of 16 LEDE Fellows 2022 by Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) with a project to leverage this innovative format in Portuguese-spoken countries.
