About Doralisa Pellane

I am a Wingate University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services. This fall, I began my studies at Wingate University to pursue my Master's Degree in Social Work and to become licensed. I am very fortunate to be an MSW candidate in this program. My career goal is to work as a school social worker and a Behavioral Health Therapist to use my training and experience to create a change in community mental health advocacy, services, and policy. I am mostly focused on how cultural humility can help me work with diverse communities to empower individuals along with more supportive practices. As MSW candidate dedicated student passionate about advocating for social justice with a deep commitment to working with all diverse communities to promote a stronger community building based on values, and empathy along with ADEI (Antiracism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) throughout my work journey as a Social Worker. My goal is to create a remarkable impact in the community by respecting your own identity, beliefs, personality, spirituality, religion, language self-awareness, gender, and ethnicity to improve the well-being of individuals and families within our community.
