I am a media professional with over ten years of experience as both a reporter and editor. As a reporter, I have covered a wide spectrum of news topics including politics, crime, community events, lifestyle, sports, and government programmes. In my role as an editor, I was responsible for editing and proofreading content for both online and print platforms—ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to house style, while minimising grammatical and spelling errors. Despite being in an editorial role, I continued to write news and feature articles and handled press releases and media statements, which kept my writing sharp and versatile. I am highly detail-oriented and committed to accuracy, always ensuring that content meets the 5Ws and 1H standards, and is thoroughly fact-checked and current. I work well independently but thrive in collaborative environments. I also maintain strong rapport with members of the local media in Kuching, Sarawak. In addition to my editorial and reporting skills, I am proficient with Canva and have designed banners and social media visuals for my publication’s Facebook page, especially for festive and holiday-related content.
