Background
About Doreen Tarimo
I am a passionate conservation and natural resource management professional dedicated to advancing community-based conservation, participatory, and sustainable development. My work bridges the gap between grassroots realities and policy solutions, with a strong focus on empowering communities, especially youth, to take an active role in biodiversity conservation and climate resilience.I bring a strong mix of research, project coordination, and community engagement expertise, having supported initiatives that strengthen local livelihoods while protecting ecosystems. My skills include facilitating inclusive dialogues, conducting field research and analysis, supporting youth environmental education, and building partnerships that connect communities, civil society, and government.Driven by a vision of a sustainable future, I thrive in roles that demand strategic thinking, practical solutions, and collaboration. I am particularly motivated to contribute to programs that safeguard natural resources, promote sustainable land management, and inspire the next generation of conservation leaders.
