My name is Dorian Rose Lloyd. I was born in Santa Ana, California, October 26, 1983. I lived in California for about 5 years and then my mom relocated to Jackson, MS. I am next to the oldest child out of 5 other siblings. I graduated from Jackson State University, August 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After graduating, I immediately started working at AT & T September 2006. I worked as a Customer Service Representative in the Jackson Call Center as a Relocation Specialist and also specialized in Wireless Number Portability. I worked for AT & T for about 5 years until I decided to join the Healthcare field working for Centers of Medicare Services from 2011 to June of 2012. My husband’s job relocated our family to Memphis, TN and recently As a current educator, I am eligible to accommodate students with all learning information necessary for the subject areas of Reading, Writing, English, Language Arts, and Elementary Education K-2. I became a candidate for English Teacher position with Memphis City School District’s TEACH program and received my Masters of Art in Education Specialization in Reading Literacy. I was a substitute teacher for Shelby County School District and Achievement School District. I was an educator working in the Reading/Computer Lab at Whitney Achievement Elementary. For the 2015-2016 school year I was an 1st grade co-teacher, but Lead teacher for Writing, Calendar Math, Core Subjects such as Social Studies and Science. I have conducted Guided Reading with small groups, whole class Read Alouds, and a RTi Interventionist for 5th grade Tier students. I completed the State of Tennessee Teaching Certification Residency Program at Relay Graduate School (Memphis location) Summer 2016. For the school year of 2016/2017 I was a teacher at Freedom Prep Academy (Westwood Location). Currently, I am a kindergarten teacher, kindergarten grade level chairman at Cornerstone Preparatory Denver Elementary. I completed my SPED Comprehension K-12 endorsement May 2022 from UT Knoxville.
