About Dorian Nicholson

My name is Dorian Nicholson, and I am a writer and editor with more than 12 years of professional experience. I was trained in the journalism program at Centennial College to write for print, television, radio, and online. Over the years I have built on these skills by working on community newspapers (The East Toronto Observer), national magazines (HUB: The Computer Paper, TechKnow Magazine), and websites with international followings. I have written about various topics ranging from politics to sports to entertainment. As an editor, I have experience editing everything from opinion pieces to websites to resumes. More recently I have worked as an academic editor and researcher for professors and students at OISE-UT, including as editor of a book commemorating 50 years of OISE. My technical skills include extensive knowledge of PC and Mac hardware and software including the MS Office Suite, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and more. I am well-versed with content management systems (particularly Wordpress), have some experience editing photos and videos using various software, and also have basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
