About Doris Blouin

It's important to note that the education I have recorded here is only a portion of what I've done for professional development as a teacher and learner. I held a fellowship as a teacher researcher at the National Writers Project in 2003. I've taken numerous courses and workshops over the past 10 years which equal over 30 additional graduate credits. Additionally, I worked as a paraeducator for 10 years prior to getting teacher licensure. On a different note, I am artistic in nature. I've had a cake decorating business. I've done Halloween spray paint murals, as well as numerous personal art projects using mediums of water color, oils, charcoal, and pencils. I taught a recycled art class for two sessions as well. I love art of all kinds. Another area of interest and passion is cooking and baking. I'm cooking and creating dishes constantly. I'm known by my family and friends as "the feeder of the people." I also thrive when gardening. It's something I grew up with and is in my blood. I can never get enough of working in a garden. Essentially, I've tried many things and hope to try more interesting ventures. I'd love to be able to work from home at some point as well. I love the feeling of independence and being creative.
