About Doris Brown

Over 40 years experience in human resources management in the federal and private sectors. While employed with the federal government, I started at the GS-3 level as a Clerk and advanced to the Senior Executive Service. After retirement from the federal government, I started a civilian career with a private sector firm, Avue Technologies Corporation, where I advanced to Vice President, Client Services. I started my own company, a sole proprietorship, where I provide human resources services, advise management on human resources matters, and train HR practitioners in the myriad rules and policies related primarily to job classification, writing position evaluation statements, position management, and organization structure and design. I am an expert in all these areas, in addition to being an expert in creating resumes, introductory letters, and helping those who have no real sense of what types of jobs they are qualified for find occupations for which they may be a good fit. I am a skilled public speaker, often preparing custom professional development presentations mostly to business women's groups, non-profits, and for various levels of employees, from entry level to company or agency Directors.
