Over 60 years of successful management of multi-location learning vacation company with focus on sailing and boating education as exhibited in 2022 biography book #OFFSHOREHigh by Herb McCormick. Vast experience marketing to leisure/adventure market; served on several industry marketing committees and boards. Dubbed "dean of women's sailing"(Boat U.S. Magazine, May 2009). Inducted in the U.S. National Sailing Hall of Fame in 2022. Won coveted Junonia Award from Lee County (Florida) Visitors & Convention Bureau 2010 for years of bringing tourism to SW Florida through sailing education vacations at area resorts. Won Chrysalis Award in 2013 for marketing. Named a "Grande Dame" by PACE School for Girls in 2019 for philanthropic and community involvement. Company was 6-year National Sponsor for Leukemia Cup Regattas, donated over from Offshore Sailing School to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, plus equal amount in in-kind donations. Other past community initiatives include American Heart Association Go Red for Women, Impact Initiative, Currently on board of directors of Florida Repertory Theatre in Ft. Myers, FL. Goal is to move from running company on day to day basis to focus on efforts to keep our world clean, green and thriving with healthy educational opportunities that create passion, freedom and the opportunity to change lifestyles.
