About Doris Payer

My main goal is to apply scientific knowledge and insights about substance use and addictions to real-world situations to shape policies and practices that maximize the wellbeing of people who use drugs. To this end I offer: • Subject matter expertise in substance use and addictions and 25 years of experience in the field ranging from clinical neuroscience to national monitoring of data trends and early warning; • Research and communication skills to analyze and synthesize complex information and convey results, insights, and recommendations to a variety of audiences; • Eagerness to build meaningful relationships and experience identifying and developing strategic partnerships and networks in healthcare, academia, government, and communities. • Project management skills and a conscientious and collaborative attitude to managing cross-functional teams and leading projects from concept to close-out.
