About Doris Tang

I graduated with a Master in Chemistry from Chung Yuan Christian University. Prior to Merck, I was working for 4 years as engineer at AUO’s analytical department. And from to 2004, I was a research assistant for a company specialized in environmental analysis.I joined Merck R&D reliability lab team in 2009, I was responsible for developing and implementing new analytical methods, which have been very helpful to support troubleshooting at customers and to improve reliability of LC mixtures. In Oct 2015, I moved to R&D mobile team and has been in charge of LC mixture development projects. In July 2016, I joined QC as Team leader of Commercial Quality team. During this period, I have developed not only quality related professional knowledge including mixture quality judgment, Chromatography and EO methods development but also strong leadership. Following that, I spent 2 years in Launch Management, gaining valuable insights into the entire production process, including supply chain management and the importance of quality.In July 2021, I transitioned into my current role in Quality Assurance. I am responsible for ensuring our Quality Management System aligns with ISO-9001 and IATF-16949 standards. My role includes setting and implementing quality objectives, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer expectations and industry standards. I also lead internal and external audits, manage supplier quality through rigorous assessments, and drive quality culture throughout the organization.In addition, I work closely with our stakeholders to align our quality mission and facilitate customer audits, including for international clients. My expertise in quality systems, customer satisfaction, and supplier management allows me to enhance overall operational quality and reliability, while fostering a collaborative environment.I am committed to excellence, from leading preventive and corrective actions to upgrading internal processes and providing training across teams. My goal is to continuously elevate quality standards, ensuring that our products consistently exceed customer expectations.
