About Dorothee Metz

Dorothee has brought Puppet- Object theater to a wide variety of theatre disciplines, including stage productions, opera, dance, musical theatre, and outdoor events as a director, puppeteer and collaborator. She is expert at incorporating puppetry into any art project, from development of puppets into the artistic concept of the work, to overseeing construction of the puppets, to making the puppets herself. She has also provided directorial support, by choreographing puppetry scenes and physically training actors and singers to work with puppets onstage. She graduated with an MFA from the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch. Dorothee also had the joy to pass on her vast knowledge of theater and puppetry. Her teaching experiences include: Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, Berlin – Germany, École Supérieure de Théâtre Estba Bordeaux en Aquitaine – France, Figurentheater-Kolleg Bochum – Germany.
