About Dorothy Laub

I am a champion of change and innovation working as the Vice President and General Manager of Bechtel Supplier Quality and Expediting. Starting in Engineering at Bechtel, I was drawn to the fast-paced world of supply chain early on. After 20 years, it still excites me to collaborate with suppliers around the world to improve delivery outcomes for our customers.There is no such thing as “business as usual” in a functional organization that is intent on meeting the demands of customers, and in Supply Chain, with the constant pressures of shifting markets, our tools need to be better, faster, and more data-rich than ever. In my current role, I get to build our future leaders, streamline our procedures, and build execution plans for global sourcing strategies.I am most excited about working on our Sustainability initiatives to improve global worker welfare, reduce the risk of modern day slavery in the Supply Chain and continue to qualify new and diverse suppliers for our projects. It allows me to use my research skills to understand how various laws impacting supply chain are continually adapting in this area, driving changes to our procedures and driving industry-wide collaboration.
