About Dorthe Flauer
Since 2015, I have been responsible for providing education and training workshops to staff of various sites including the Butterfly Care Home Approach. This includes being involved in developing and presenting relevant education sessions to all staff in required areas and topics as per Alberta Health Services and Occupational Health and Safety standards to ensure ongoing staff training and competency. l also enjoy being engaged in providing workshops to family members of persons of living with dementia as well as community presentations and individual support as required. In collaboration with Lifestyle Options, I joined the Dementia Care Matters Canada Team in 2018 as a contract Associate Trainer. Since December 2010, DCM is now Meaningful Care Matters (MCM) operating out of the UK. On the MCM Canada team, I assist in providing training through workshops currently at various sites in Canada.
