Doug is an experienced Railway Director and Systems Engineer with 49 years’ experience in the rail industry covering design, installation, testing & commissioning, engineering management and assurance roles. Doug founded and managed DEG Signal, a UK based signalling design practice, for 26 years before the company was acquired by Ramboll in 2018. He has had leading roles on numerous major projects such as Channel Tunnel, Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1) and London Underground projects. He has worked in client, consultancy and contractor roles and has experience of mainline, metro and light rail systems in the UK and overseas.
