About Doug Griffiths

As President and CEO of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and CEO of the World Trade Centre, I have the pleasure of working with the Edmonton business community and our partners to help Edmonton businesses and the economy grow within, and beyond, our boundaries. The Edmonton Metro Region is the 5th largest economy in Canada, with GDP of almost $110 billion and a population of approximately 1.5 million people. Add to that our incredible quality of life, housing affordability, and booming tech and innovation industries that compliment our well establish traditional industries, and you can see why Edmonton will continue to lead the nation in economic growth. As the President and CEO of 13 Ways Inc, I have been helping communities across Canada and beyond to identify and overcome the barriers that prevent them from achieving success. With over eight years of experience in this role, I have developed a deep understanding of the relationship between community attitudes and outcomes, and how to foster a positive and proactive culture that enables growth, innovation, and collaboration. I have a diverse and extensive background in education, philosophy, business, and politics, which gives me a unique perspective and a broad range of skills to address the complex and multifaceted issues that communities face. I am also a best-selling author and a speaker, who uses humor, honesty, and insight to inspire and challenge audiences to take action and make a difference. My passion and mission is to build stronger communities that are the foundation of stronger families, businesses, and nations.
