About Doug Holthus

I have tried, advocated and/or arbitrated nearly one hundred cases before civil juries, administrative licensing (and other) boards and arbitration panels throughout Ohio [also, Michigan, Illinois and California], in both state and federal courts, defending individuals as well as corporate and public entities in professional licensing and negligence matters, employment, personal injury/wrongful death, product liability, various business matters and land use/zoning disputes. I have argued nearly thirty cases before the Ohio Courts of Appeal. I also engage in a business advisory and transactional practice.From 1993 to 2007, I practiced with Reminger Co, L.P.A. From 2007 to 2011, I had the privilege of serving as General Counsel for one of the region's largest general contractors and its affiliated entities. In 2011, I returned to private practice and in January, 2016, I accepted a position with Mazenec, Raskin & Ryder, Co, L.P.A.(Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH) serving as Administrative Partner of the firm's Columbus, Ohio office.I now have the great privilege of joining Freeman, Mathis & Gary, LLP in its Columbus, OH office.Thomson-Reuters "Super Lawyer", Best Lawyers, and Martindale-Hubbell "AV- Preeminent" ratings.
