About Doug Houston

Doug has an accomplished career of more than 35 years in the oil industry, financial services, and in customer experience consulting, in the last 15 years specialising in customer experience consulting and services.Until 2016 Doug was Vice President of Product Management and Delivery for Customers First Now (CFN), a leading global customer experience consulting firm, and was a member of the leadership team. He led the development of new consulting solutions, managed consulting operations, and led a number of major client engagements, providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions to clients in various sectors in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Doug is now with Tribe CX, a global service provider that provides practical tools and coaching to help CX leaders drive effective change from successful deployment of CX plans. Doug is applying his extensive international experience, knowledge and insight gained over the last 12 years in customer experience consulting to help drive TribeCX's growth and success.Doug started his career at BP where he held national marketing and sales roles, and international roles providing strategic direction and guidance on deploying key programmes to BP’s operating businesses across Europe. Doug led BP’s European Customer Responsiveness program, an international customer change program supporting BP’s global ambition to become a world-class customer centric brand. For the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, Doug worked in International Businesses supporting its expansion into new markets by developing and marketing new financial products for both business and consumer markets. Doug led a variety of major programs including the development of customer management strategies, and transferring best practice across multi-national business units.Doug holds a BSC in Management Sciences from Manchester University. He and his wife, Jean, live in the UK and are the parents of two daughters.
