I am currently a Vendor Manager with Farmers Insurance. I negotiate the service agreements with vendors supplying service to the claims operations. This position allows me to use my relationship building skills with our business partners to achieve a desired outcome for all parties. I may deal with account representatives or the CEO of a large corporation. No two days are the same so I have to be constantly aware that to our business partners, I am the face of Farmers. Through the contracting process I work with groups such as legal, IT, compliance, data security, and finance. While none of these are my area of expertise, I must gain their approval to execute a service agreement. This experience allows me to gain a better understanding of each critical function. Prior to my current position I was a Sr. Process Consultant with the National Process Development Team at Farmers. In this position I completed process reviews to reduce redundancy, waste and improve efficiency. My team consisted of 5 Six Sigma trained individuals from various backgrounds. Engagements could last from 90 days to over a year depending on the complexity of the business issue being analyzed. I am proficient with various process improvement methodologies (process mapping, time studies, kano analysis, diagramming, etc) to help break down any business problem.
