About Doug Sandler

As global strategist I serve as a bridge between our investment team and our many constituents including our sales team, financial advisor partners and their clients, institutional due diligence departments, and the financial press. One of the secrets to long term investment success is ‘sticking with the plan.’ Unfortunately, that can be difficult to do given the complexities of the markets and the 24-hour news cycle. My team’s job is to help RiverFront’s clients understand how and why their money is invested, thereby giving them the confidence to stick to their investment plan. Taking care of someone’s money is a noble profession. As a son of a financial advisor, I’ve seen it firsthand. Financial advisors exist to give clients the ‘peace of mind’ so they can focus on what they do best, whether that’s curing cancer, inventing the next ‘big’ thing or simply being a better parent. I show up every day to work to support financial advisors, like my father, who have so much riding on their shoulders. I received my MBA with honors from the University of Richmond and a CFA designation. Regularly, I have been featured in various financial press (tv, radio and print). My first passion is my family: my wife of 25 years and our four kids. After that, I most enjoy the outdoors and regularly visit them on skis, on a paddle board, or when walking a tightrope.
