About Doug Shaw

I work with a wide range of organisations and teams, exploring co-operation, co creativity, and how to think differently about work. I often use the arts in my work, as a subjective lens through which to invite inquiry. Connecting people and establishing a sense of community is a vital part of my work. I'm fascinated by people’s inherent creative abilities, and I love making it easier for people to work with uncertainty, explore with curiosity, be confident with their creativity, and to use these attributes in their work. I’m a practicing visual artist with a studio located in the Oaks Park Artists community. I’m currently exploring drawing, and stencil cutting, and I’m just starting to play with some basic printing techniques. I’m frequently hired as a graphic reporter or visual minuter - listening to conversations and talks, and illustrating and painting a response to what is happening in the room. I am the administrator for our local arts charity, and I also work for Sutton Community Farm. Developing connections for others and myself in our local community, is very important to me. Clients include : Clore Leadership, London Borough of Sutton, Crossrail, Thomson Reuters, Herman Miller, Ocee Design, Office of National Statistics, The Latvian Government, Disney, Russell Cooke, Guide Dogs, dxw, Xilinx, National Employment Savings Trust, and CIPD.
