Doug Yates is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner of Roush Yates Engines, and a pioneer of race engine development. Roush Yates Engines has been the exclusive Ford Performance engine supplier in NASCAR since 2004. Roush Yates Engines is a leading-edge engine development company based in Mooresville, NC consisting of three state-of-the-art facilities - Roush Yates Engines and Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions, a world class AS9100 Rev D/ISO 13485 certified CNC manufacturing facility. Roush Yates Engines designs, develops, test, and builds over 900 high performance engines per year in partnership with Ford Performance. Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is a contract manufacturer with expertise in multi axis machining, assembling, and testing of components with complex geometries. Yates’s strategic vision, execution, and performance as CEO started with 64 employees in 2004 in one facility. Today, Roush Yates Engines and Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions employ over 200 employees in three facilities in Mooresville, North Carolina. Yates become co-owner of Roush Yates Engines in 2009 by purchasing his father’s ownership in the company. Carrying forward his family’s legacy, Yates has built the business on a foundation of integrity, innovation, and results. Roush Yates Engines was recognized by the Professional Motorsports World as one of the Top 10 engine builders of the decade in 2016 and 2023 Mooresville, North Carolina Business of the Year.
