Yemen is a high risk environment which poses unique security and risk management challenges. Planned and enabled the strategic withdrawal of expatriate personnel (Company plus Contractor) and high value, operation critical equipment from Yemen as part of the business continuity plan. Planned and conducted 2 large scale civilian evacuations from Yemen in conjunction with 2 foreign governments. These were executed concurrently within the space of 48 hrs and involved moving over 500 people offshore to naval vessels using limited resources and within a very challenging security environment. Designed and commenced implementation of an integrated strategic security plan for assets and infrastructure which are of critical national importance to the Yemeni economy. The challenge was to create efficiencies for, and simplify the management of, security across the oil production and export operation incorporating both mature and new oilfields, export pipelines and 1 of only 2 crude export terminals in Yemen. Managed personnel security, equipment and asset protection, crisis management and contributed to business continuity for Schlumberger in Yemen during an extremely challenging period of security risk and political and business uncertainty.
