My favorite quote is "Never Say Never" Home Grown Fitness I grew up in the south and played competitive baseball and was able to travel with the All-Star team throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. In the off-season I built a gym in the backyard shed of my child hood home and worked out to stay in shape. Most athletes started the new season seriously out of shape, but I was always ready to go. A Lifelong Passion Throughout my life fitness has been very important. A personal highlight was hiking Half Dome in Yosemite after the age of 50 and scaling the famous part of Half Dome’s ascent up the cable route 400 feet to the summit without rock climbing equipment! My Mission Having worked with personal trainers myself, I saw how my physique and health changed dramatically. I was sold on how important it is to mix up your workouts, in order not to plateau. This is where the desire to own and run a Health & Wellness business came about. Being able to help people become healthy and fit is a wonderful career, and one that matches my desire to continue to be active throughout my life. After losing both my parents to cancer, fitness has become even more important to me. The potential of owning my own business, in an area that I am extremely passionate about, is exciting. My passion for connecting with people and helping others to stay fit and help to grow my own business will only add to the Health & Wellness business core values.
