About Douglas Brown

I have over 15 years of experience in both Simulink and MATLAB for modeling, data analysis, machine learning, simulation, and real-time embedded programming. In addition, I have extensive experience in hardware design, manufacturing, testing, documentation, and commercialization of high power, digital and mixed digital/analog circuits with a background in power electronics and device physics. Currently, I am seeking employment in the following areas: data analytics, systems health management, fault-tolerant control systems, and peripherally related fields. My specific specialties include- Fault-detection, identification, and failure prediction of engineering systems- Development, analysis, simulation, implementation, and verification of physical systems and large data-sets through: Data-driven modeling, machine learning using various supervisory, unsupervised, and re-enforcement learning routines (Neural networks, genetic programming, classifiers)- Development, verification, and validation of diagnostic models and algorithms - High power, mixed analog/digital circuit board design, layout, assembly, fabrication and prototyping- Product development, testing, certification and commercialization- Control systems (linear, non-linear, stochastic, adaptive, optimal, intelligent), signal processing (stochastic, adaptive), and algorithm development
