With over 24 years of experience and a career-long commitment to Stantec, he’s attuned to the dynamics of team integration on major projects. His goal is to make Stantec the central address for top talent and create a strong local and global presence. As a leader, Douglas promotes entrepreneurship, innovation and design excellence. Douglas acts as the focal interface between our major international clients and Stantec’s multidisciplinary teams. His ability is backed a career that spans the engineering of complex hospitals, labs and education projects. With a mix of creativity, operational understanding, and project experience he brings focus to our design teams, helping our clients achieve creative, innovative, and efficient solutions. Driven by a passion for people and community, Douglas revels in the quest to understand where the business is moving, and how we can align our expertise to our clients’ needs. Over his career, Douglas has been involved with projects totaling over $6 billion in construction value. His experience includes pivotal leadership roles for some of Stantec’s largest, most complex global projects including the $650 million US Oregon Science and Technology University Hospital Expansion,$1.4 Billion Queensway Hospital Project,$432 million CAD Kelowna-Vernon Hospital project, the world-class Qatar National Centre for Cancer Care and Research and the world-class Dubai Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital (HBRCH)
