About Douglas C. Peck

During his working life, Dr. Douglas Peck has had two careers. In the realm of education, he served the Higher Education sector in a full-time capacity on 'both sides of the academic house.' Administratively, he held positions as a Dean at Stark State College (North Canton, Ohio) and as a Director at Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio). As a Faculty member, he held appointments as an Associate Professor at Stark State College and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at The University of Akron (Akron, Ohio). Having retired from full-time employment, he remains involved as a Faculty Associate in the School of Behavioral Sciences in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University; as an Adjunct Professor teaching on-line courses for Stark State College (North Canton, Ohio); and, as an Adjunct Professor in the Behavioral Sciences and Cultural Studies Division of Estrella Mountain Community College (Avondale, Arizona). Prior to (and for many years coincident with) these positions, Dr. Peck had a thirty-year career with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where he was primarily engaged by the Research and Development Division doing proprietary work in material science. In the latter stage of this career track, he worked in Programming and Systems Analysis for the Technical Computer Operations Division. He also served on special assignment as Project Manager for several major corporate-level projects.
