About Douglas Cox

I have worked on environmental protection including; water quality standards and environmental regulatory management including Tribal, Federal and State regulation, NEPA compliance, secure and manage grants for the tribe in environmental and land management, work with federal/state and tribal agencies, including state, regional and national committee seats and appointments, and also worked on development of planning documents for the Tribe including: Forest Management Plan, Integrated Resources Management Plan, Invasive Species Management Plan and the Tribal Strategic Plan. Served two years as Chairman of the Tribe and the work included: government to government consultations with local, state and federal leaders as well as close coordination with fellow tribal leaders from Wisconsin and nationwide. Many hours were spent dedicated to helping our community and its members with issues like homelessness, drug addiction, economic strains, environmental concerns and family struggles. Contacts and relationships were bound at all levels that included State and Federal Government Officials.
