About Douglas Darrah

Since 1986, Doug has conducted and managed numerous environmental site assessments (ESAs), underground storage tank (UST) closure assessments, and corrective actions at sites with the following chemicals of concern: volatile and semi-volatile compounds (VOCs and SVOCs, respectively), metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and other chemical compounds. Doug's experiences includes program management, conceptual site model development, trust fund eligibility and claim appeal support, cost to closure estimating, and multiple state regulatory assessment and closure knowledge. Doug has assessed an extensive variety of building types and uses, including retail gasoline service stations; stand-alone and mixed-use retail, specifically convenience stores; natural gas compressor stations/yards; bulk storage terminals; chemical plants; general warehouse and manufacturing facilities; automotive repair facilities; hazardous waste storage and treatment facilities; and public/government facilities. Other activities that Doug has performed include UST spill responses, hydrogeologic studies, stray natural gas investigations, due diligence, vapor intrusion mitigation, and feasibility/pilot tests.
