About Douglas Devries

In while attending DeVry University in Addison, Illinois I began working at Ambassador Business Solutions in Itasca, IL.(Now Canon Business Solutions). I began in-house then moved to field work. At graduation in Oct. I took a job at MCI-WorldCom for a brief spell until layoffs began. Shortly after leaving there to get back into the printer/copier repair industry, WorldCom was investigated for accounting fraud (whew.glad I left). I worked at Illinois Paper Company for several years as their lead technician. My wife and I had our son while I was working there in Aug. 2002, and after he turned 2 we were worried about his development as he was not talking yet, or even babbling. When the state said it would be a year until they could bring him in for screening, we started looking at our options. My in-laws lived in Phoenix and checked into the screening system there. When we learned he could be seen within 30 days of us becoming Arizona residents, we decided to move. In May of 2005 I started at Laserfax, a small independent printer/copier repair business in Phoenix. After working their for 4 years, then All-Copy (based out of Denver with branch in the valley) for a short bit (couldn't stand their "big brother is watching you" attitude). I worked for Fowler Business until the local branch became independent - Office Solutions of Arizona. I have been trained on almost every single brand of copier except Xerox, and consider myself one of the best technicians in the valley. We pride ourselves on our ability to be flexible and find solutions that work for the customer while keeping their budget in-line. So now with over 14 years of experience in the copier service industry and a can-do, customer focused attitude I hope to help grow OSA to be the company of choice for small to mid sized business in the valley.
